He’s loving. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. During season 8, Angel Batista wasn’t always played by David Zayas.

Over the years, my eyes adjusted until the darkness became my world and I could see. I read Lindsay’s excellent books – Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter – some time ago, and when I learned that there would be a series based on the books, I was extremely excited. So much so, in fact, that I was afraid of being disappointed simply because my standards were so high.
Thankfully, "Dexter" absolutely delivers
The show retains the novels’ unsettling atmosphere with better fidelity than one might expect, and Dexter (played by Hall) is there. The visuals in the show are stunning to say the least. Unsettling, to be sure, but more than that – mesmerizing.
This has a permanent place on my DVR
It’s impossible not to find a certain affinity for Dexter while watching the show. He’s a monster, and yet it’s completely possible to relate to him. 10 out of 10.
