Inspired by a true story and directed by Magnus von Horn, THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE follows Caroline (Vic Carmen Sonne), a young factory worker struggling to survive in post-war Copenhagen. When she finds herself unemployed, abandoned and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dyrholm), a charismatic woman who runs an illegal adoption agency, helping mothers find foster homes for their unwanted children. With no one else to turn to, Carolyn steps into the role of nurse.
