Narrative
1917. Fleeing famine and war in Poland, Rebecca arrives in Brazil to reunite with her husband and start a new life. However, contrary to promises of happiness, the reality she faces in Rio de Janeiro is quite different. She discovers that her husband has died and ends up becoming a hostage in a vast network of prostitution and human trafficking.
